(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi all,

Just wondering what is the best way for me to get rid of my old iPhone 4S 32 gb. It is in almost immaculate condition and I have an iphone 5 now and have no use for it.

I see a bunch of people selling them on ebay, but they are big name carriers (sprint, verizon ect...). The provider for my phone was Cellcom. They are a small Wisconsin based company I believe.

My question is can i clear the phone so it can be used on any network?

Thanks
Chad

it has to be non simlocked, if it needs to use any network... and i dont believe that a software matic unlock is possible atleast for the iphone 4-5, try calling your provider and ask if they can unlock it for you

What about jailbreaking phone before selling?

Call your provider. Tell them you are going to get rid of the device to a customer who is willing to purchase it, and for them to unlock the device. It is LEGAL so they cannot tell you no. Also, you can sell one for that many gigabytes for about $180-250. You could also trade it in, and look for something else. Or what I'd do is keep it, and use it as an MP3 player. :y:

Get the phone unlocked then sell it on eBay.

How do i get it unlocked? I saw several online services that will unlock it for me, but it seems something I should be able to do on my own, or have my carrier do for me.

it is not possible to do it yourself, al the tools that offers you to do it, are paid and the carrier (Cellcom) has to do it for free or a little payment,
just contact them and you want the phone unlocked
