(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so i bought a Ipod 5th Gen off a guy for $200

and when i brought it home I plug it in to connect to itunes, and tried to Restore it so its like brand New!!

Once i restored it, it asks me to Put in the Apple ID and Password created at the First Use of this Ipod...
I dont know it and the guy who I bought it off is not replying to me with the information!

I tried putting in DFU or whatever its called and restore it like that and it is still stuck at that part... The Ipod is Practically usesless.... does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Ill honestly give you $20 paypal because i spent $200 on a iDevice that i cant even use :/

Please and Thanks,

Kevin

Its asking for the Apple ID that the person used ?

Ive gave way iPods/iPhone and never seen this and they gave the device a full restore... you sure its not just asking for an Apple ID..

Just make and and try it

Yeah it's asking you for the Apple ID and password because this is a new security measure implemented by Apple to prevent stolen/lost phones from being used.

Honestly, there is no way to restore it. Nobody has found a way yet.

Sorry about that man.

its asking for the Apple ID that the Device was First Registered with... when i start the Ipod it says... sign in with the Apple ID that was first registered with this Ipod.... then it gives me the first 2 letters of the Email and i cant do anything... to be exact (r*****@yahoo.com)

"This iPod is currently Linked to an Apple ID (r*****@yahoo.com) Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this Ipod"

and i cant do anything :/ but im wondering if there is any tool that can remove this type of message :( or something

Hey there Kevin.

Have you tried to contact Apple Support? Unfortunately, you will need the IMEI number or Serial number of the iPod for them to assist.

I can try and get it from the ipod by using RedSnow or whatever and I went to the Apple Store and the worker i talked to didnt really give a crap and told me to report it to the Police... but what is the police going to do? track an email address?! and i dont think the police can get me the email of the Apple ID either.... the worker was a asshole to me

Hello again Kevin,

I would suggest calling Apple Care instead of going to a store and if you go back to the store, I would request a different employee to help you. I think what the rep was referring to when he said to "Get in touch with the Police Department" was to contact the Police about that guy scamming you. It is illegal and yes you can press charges against the guy if he sold you an iPod that you can't use and he didn't put it in the details that you wont be able to use it or tell you.

He scammed you, the only way that happens to an iPod is if he puts it in lost mode from the findmyiphone app. Contact apple support.
