I have been intrested recently in making my own sig, so I decided why not give it a shot?
I made this on Photoshop and took me a while ^_^.
It's my first main signature that I took time on.
Please rate out of 10 and give some constructive criticism.
I need tips on how to improve and then I'll make another one, hopefully better using the tips you all give me.

That's good for a beginner

15 minutes is actually pretty short for a sig considering that time and patience is key in a signature.What I've started doing is if it isn't exactly what I imagined, I make whatever I did different, so for a really good sig would probably take about an hour, even more.

But other than that that's pretty good

Well, it's my first complete one.
I've made 2 this one and another one, but the other one is incomplete so I class this as my first signature.

Oh and it was nice talking to you in the shoutout box ^_^

did you use a tut and copy eveything the tut did?

id personally give it a 8 looks really good in my opinion i think its just missing something im not sure what though

Pretty nice for your first sig, sharpen it up and try adding some more effects and a splash of colour, red would look good.

Yeah I will probably edit it soon.
I tried adding red to lighten it before, I was experimenting with things and it didn't look right.
I didn't use the light red colours since if it doesn't look right it doesn't look right, and there's no real point in trying for hours to make it work and look right.
I'll try and add a splash of red but where shall I put it or do you just recommend lighting up the whole signature a bit. Oh and thanks very much for the tip to sharpen it at the end.

Looking back at my sig it looks monotonous so I'll probably add more colours in so thanks for the tip. =D


Naww, I didn't use any tutorials for this. I just simply got a render, messed around with gradients, clipping masks, C4D's, blending effects, brushes etc.. Until I found something I like and then I built on it. I had around 8 copies of this sig with slight differences and I kept flicking back between them to see what looked better. It was a nightmare .

Oh and you see those 3 lines in the sig, they are "attempted" clipping masks. I'm new to clipping masks so somebody tell me what I can do to improve those. Maybe smudge the sides of the shapes into the background slightly?

Oh, and while talking about sigs, I know this is a bit off topic but it's still to do with sigs, does everybody have the limit where you can only post 4 lines and 2 images in your signature. It says I am limited to 2 images and the emoticon counts as an image ;P.

If everybody else is allowed to put more into it maybe I haven't bought something from the vBPlaza?

haha im glad i helped , its good for your first and you obviously did pay attention. Nice first sig, like i said ill tell you some stuff over msn to hopefully improve it over msn.
