Post: WTF is happening with all my Video Editing Software?
02-25-2010, 01:51 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK, I'm trying to make a MW2 montage, and to record it, I'm using my camcorder, which records in full HD to AVI. When I try to import it into video editing software, the program crashes. I've tried the following:
Sony Vegas Pro 9.0
Sony Vegas Pro 8.0
Windows Movie Maker (I mean c'mon!)
WAX
CyberLink PowerDirector

All with the same outcome.....it crashes as soon as I click the file. I've even tried converting the video files to WMV, WAV, etc. None of them load!

Can someone help me, PLEASE!

Thanks in advance guys,

---Scott

sounds like you might not have enough ram to suppor the import. How long is the video you're trying to import?

i have tripple core 2.7ghz (each), 3GB RAM and a crappy 256MB dedicated gfx card (1244MB or something including onboard) and i can import 3-4 hour long HD clips into vegas without problems, so im guessing you must be doing wrong or maybe something on your computer is eating your RAM or you need to upgrade your computer.

Before you spend money upgrading your computer stop and remember... No-one wants to watch a montage made w/ a camcorder!

Before more people make some suggestion, I would like to ask for your systems specs. Once if you do post it here, then more solutions can come up to help you solve your problem. And more likely for me to help you.

seems like you have an okay system to process the data. I'm not really sure what would be causing the hang up.

Do you have a graphics card? if so, tell me the name and brand.
