You want the truth, i do not think that the background goes with the render at all.
On a positive note the blending of the background looks quite good.

thanks , im not too worried about the background and render gonig togethor , im just experimenting with some diff styles

Now that one is better, i like the use use of the lens flare. Make the border smaller though and try and add some more depth to the background

What have you done to the render? Sharpened it loads? It doesnt look as good.

2nd is better because the render blends into the background, but try working on lighting and some more interested effects, your composition and render placement isn't bad at all. And don't sharpen the render up that much, looks really bad.

bad render choices IMO. call of duty renders usually suck, and this one is no exception in my eyes. Not saying this is an excuse to the signature but it definately doesn't help it :O
