i want to get a HD PVR but my laptop doesnt meet the system requirments, only my desktop pc does but thats 2 floors above my xbox so i cant use that
but i was wondering are the system requirments actually that important? im not gonna edit or anything on the laptop cos im gonna send it to my desktop pc, im just capturing it on the laptop...
It may work, but it's almost certain to be laggy in recording and playback. You never want your pc to have just the minimum requirements otherwise you will run into problems such as choppy video playback and recording.
If you decide to try it, make sure you can return it if there is any problems.

i'm certain you will have dropped frames and worse quality. thats my 100% sure answer if you still had a dual core processor but it was a little slower than the requirements i'd say you'd be fine, but you dont have that
