I went and bought two optcial cables, I put one in my ps3 and to my pvr. THen the second one in my pvr and out to my tv. BUT THERES NO SOUND!!!!! I've tryed everything. There should be 5 input and 5 output on a HD PVR:

Video:
Red
Blue
Green

Audio:
White
Red

After connecting every thing, on your PS3 go to:
Settings > Sound Setting > Audio Output Settings
Put this option to: Audio Input / SCART / AV MULTI

Now on Sound Settings you should see Audio Multi-Output. Turn that on.

Now going back to your PC: Make sure you are using Total Extreme Media (TEM)

Open TEM and go to Record Video. If you look to the left you should see the settings (Make sure HD PVR USB is plug in and Console is on). Make sure Audio Input is RCA Back.

Go to your PS3 and change the sound settings. That's likely your problem... or you have the plugs in the wrong spots. Smile

Moving this to the video section where it should have been in the first place. Smile
