(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); my mate bought a dazzle and is having trouble getting it to capture video

i have one and i set it up the same way on his as mine...went on to his computer on pinnacle studio and said no input signal was found, something like that, this happened to me aswell so i just recorded on windows movie maker...worked fine...but on his movie maker he doesnt have an option to capture video, so i thought it was his movie maker software, i told him to install mine and he still didnt have the 'capture video' option

can anyone help?

well if ur tv does not have a valid output than it wont work, u will need splitters, put the splitters in the dazzle, than there will be two holes for each which u cud plug in the dazzle ex two red ports, two yellow two white for the dazzle, now take the ps3 component cable and plug one into each, take one from ur tv input and plug it into these so it matchs and it shud work

if u dont get this try looking on youtube for tuts on how to set it up,

i do understand but ive set mine up differently, the splitters on in the tv and the rest of the cables are connected in them to the dazzle and xbox and the screen comes up on the tv but on windows movie maker it doesnt give a capture option and pinnacle sais it hasnt detected a device
shall i try your way, will it make a difference?

yeh u shud try it cuz i put the splitters in the dazzle and connect my ps3 cable and tv cable to it like that, try it and reply back

Xbox needs amcap look it up on youtube.

yes thats to record colour, hes already installed that but he cant capture the video so he cant record in colour yet
the only problem is that theres no capture video option anywere and the dazzle doesnt get picked up on the computer but it shows on the tv
ill tell him to try the other set up later

also make sure to play around with the settings, because default it usually ur webcam soo u wud have to change video input to dazzle dvc 100
