Well, time for a quasi-lengthy response written from a cell phone.

Now, the idea is fine, but lacking in complete thought. And by that I mean - how is it possible to look through a year's worth of tags from dozens of artists, in one week? There needs to be something to break down the massive quantities of art.

So I'd like to propose a Graphic of the Month competition, where people nominate pieces of art - not their own - and then we have a vote. The top 2 or 3 will be entered into the GotY competition, thus making it easier for the judges.

That does bring me to the question of what happens if one artist gets picked in multiple months. I suggest that an artist cannot win more than once per month, and can only have two pieces of art in the GotY. If an artist is represented by more than two, he/she must choose which two they want to use.

That's just my take.

...my thumbs hurt.

i wouldnt really call it pushing it, if we wanted to push it then we could ask for other things such as a Large Art of the month aswell as this but i think a GOTY is a good idea

Exactly, I think the idea is pretty pointless seeing as we are already mid way into the year this should have been suggested in January. However with that being said there is a simple solution to this. How about at the end of the year someone launches a GFX tournament similar to the one ongoing now. I'd be happy to supply whatever vbux I have at that time which i will quarantee will be more thatn 1m for the prize.
