I think he made the radial lines for the BG, and put a layer under the sunset picture, put a border around it, increased the canvas and wrote sunset so it looks like a snapshot, I like the idea, but not the final outcome. It's original in a way, something you don't see a lot of people do, but the radial background doesn't really flow or fit except the coloring. I do like the idea you had here, just follow tutorials and see what else you can add, but don't add too much more it'll lost focus and just look spammed.
