Here's mine - [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7CWBlBg-ds]YouTube - Black Ops Mini edit[/ame]

And 50 seconds of footage until you cut out like 30 seconds of non montage material. 3 clips each about 5-7 seconds each for just the shots, and then 4-5 seconds for the intro got me to 26 seconds for the whole thing.

The following user thanked Kirizmaxx for this useful post:

You can easily turn "non-montage material" into material..
As you will see tonight when I upload.

By slow moin the shit out of it ? DX lol that's what you did.

Yeah if the song is good for the non-montage material, you don't want a ton of beats with nothing happening in the montage, or not a lot of beats with a ton of shots happening in the montage. It doesn't sync good.

The reason for taking out the non-montage material is because I think people like seeing a tiny lead up to the shot, the shot or shots, then tiny end to it. When you go too fast, and just do the shots without that it becomes over editing.

When you leave all the non-montage material in the montage, nothing is happening during that material, if montages are about showing off player skill then you don't need to show you running around for any amount of time before the shot lead up occurs.
( Unless of course, there's a reason like something in the song, ex: song starts slow for 30 seconds then hits beats, for your clip you could have a shot at the beats and slow mo 30 seconds of the clip until that shot )

I guess it depends on you and the song what is montage material, and what isn't. But :jim: the song should be the primary decider.

I'll admit I over edited mine, but I did so on purpose. I showed both fastness, regular speed, and some slow mo. The first clip was regular speed with a little slow mo on the death. The second clip had some speed to it but it still was lengthy, and the third clip cut straight to the kill so it was the fastest. I did that so you could see that I can do that.

The main goal I think for a montage is to have shots synced with music. By shots I mean something worthy of putting on a montage like for shooter games its amazing kills. In order to sync it you have to take out non-montage material a lot of the time for it to look good.
