(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello Everyone, i was asked by a couple of people to make some tutorials with photoshop since i do all the design work for DragonByte technologies (vB Modification company). So yeah i don't have any fancy videos since i don't posses anything but Fraps and its being gay on vista. So i'm going to show you step by step.

heres the outcome on a very old sig i did years ago:
You must login or register to view this content.

Firstly we'll start by using this image:
You must login or register to view this content.

STEP 1:

Ok now what you have to do is create a new layer and use the You must login or register to view this content. tool to fill the entire layer with a color of your choice.
STEP 2:

now we are going to use You must login or register to view this content. to make a box that covers the entire layer leaving a 1pixel in width line on the bottom and 1pixel wide line on the right side of the color you filled to make this shape (delete the rest of the color so your just left with this:
You must login or register to view this content.

STEP 3:

Now use the same tool again to highlight that little image you've just created and hold CTRL+C to copy it, then go to FILE>>NEW and paste it into a new image, now go to IMAGE>>Rotate image and flip it vertically, copy and paste it back to your original darth vador render, go back to the other window and do the same flipping horizontally, copy and paste again etc till you have all four corners like so:

2nd corner
You must login or register to view this content.
3rd corner
You must login or register to view this content.
4th corner
You must login or register to view this content.

STEP 4:

once you've got all your corners right click on the layers and re-name them so you know which corner is which so its easier later on, ok once you've named them you'll want to drag each layer so that its in the opposite corner of the way its facing, for instance You must login or register to view this content. should be draged to the top right so that the point is 1pixel off the top corner. do this with each layer then hop over to image ready.

STEP 5:

Set each of your target arrows to overlay (or soft light) and then press duplicate frame. now drag each one of your target corners somewhere on your render to form a target (space them 2 pixel apart for best effect) so that you've made a crosshair type shape like the one in the finished product. once you've done hop back over to photoshop.

STEP 6:

now duplicate each of your target corners so that you can place them in the exact same position as your crosshair you just made, once you've done this hide the bottom target corners and the vader render so your just left with your duplicated target, then go to IMAGE>>MERGE VISIBLE

this will merge you a nice target that we'll use next.

STEP 7:

hop back to image ready and unhide your layers, you should still have your crosshair where you left it and the duplicated new crosshair should be placed over the top. Hide the duped target (the one you merged) and hit the tween button (you'll want to tween this for about 25 frames).

STEP 8:

select the last frame on the animation bar and then hide all of the target corners and un hide your duped target. Now Duplicate this frame and move your crosshair to a new position on your render then click the tween button and select 10-15 frames (whichever you think will look good, lower the frame the faster the crosshair will move and vise versa). once tweened select the last layer and duplicate it and with the duped frame move the crosshair in another position and tween again.

Step 9:

Repeat step 8 as many times as you wish (i went for 3-4 movements of the target. once your happy duplicate the last frame as before only this time select the frame thats now second to last (the one you clicked duplicate layer on) and now unhide your target corners layers and position them over the target and hide the target layer. Now with the last frame hide the target if it hasn't already been autohidden and then move all your target corners back to where they were positioned in STEP 4 and tween this for 25 frames.

STEP 10:

now select ALL of the animation bar frames and set there timers to 0.1 and playback your animation.....congratulations, you've made a target search light!

if all goes to plan you'll end up with something like this:
You must login or register to view this content.

Post your outcomes here, its always good to experiment with the amount of frames you tween by so you can get it right, you don't have to use the ones i've suggested, try tweening by your own frames and see what happens.

hope this helped and erm. yeah appologies for no video, i'll have to work on that.
