(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});Hello all, in this tutorial i'm going to show you a VERY easy trick to enhance the look of your signatures with some lightning effects.
Heres what the finish product will look like: You must login or register to view this content.
STEP 1:
Firstly get yourself your signature or render and add a new layer and using the You must login or register to view this content. tool fill the entire layer white.
STEP 2:
Now you'll want to change this layer to Overlay or soft light (whichever looks best, i'd normally go with softlight), then go to layer properties and rename this layer to lightning.
STEP 3:
Hop over to image ready and firstly hide the lightning layer and duplicate the frame, select the first frame and have a time of around 4.0-6.0 seconds, now reseleect the second frame and un-hide your lightning layer, now duplicate this frame and re-hide the lightning layer.
you should now how three frames, first frame lightning hidden, second frame lightning visible, third frame lightning hidden.
STEP 4:
With the last frame click the tween button and tween this for 15 frames.
STEP 5:
Duplicate the last layer then duplicate it again, select the second to last frame and make set it to 3.0 seconds,
STEP 6:
Now reselect the last layer and make the lightning layer visible again, dupe this frame and hide the lightning layer, then tween this for 1 frame.
STEP: 7
Dupe the last layer again and make the lightning layer visible again now tween this for 10-15 frames, then duplicate the last frame and set it to 1.0.
set all the 0 second frames to - 0.1.
STEP 8:
Playback your animation and watch your lightning go, you can also combine this tutorial with this one: You must login or register to view this content. to create a lightning storm effect by just making a different rain layer visible in each frame like i've done in the above example.
