Ok I see you tried for depth, but depth isnt exactly just bluing the edges or smudging w.e you did. Try with a background of a forest or something and blur tthat a little. for depth you will get it and come back to this and have a little giggle just keep practicing and trying tutorials, maybe some on light source or filters =]

Yeah the tutorials told me to smudge the edges, and it was too late to reverse it or anything. It doesn't look too bad, but I agree with you.
