Uhh, recording on console or PC?
You can't record console gameplay for free, you need a capture card. Use Fraps on PC, just search it on ThePirateBay.

For vegas, there is a sticky with many tutorials, but I'd say just play around a bit with it until you get used to it.

Well pirate bay sounds like an illegal website and im looking around my house were my cables are to find some recording crap. Yeah it kinda helped but i was already messing around with sony vegas
