I like simple things. This is very professional. I like it.
All except for that color blue. But otherwise, great job.

Hey buddy, it's not blue, it's more of a teal. And i happen to love that color.
On topic, i like it. Simple, yet sophisticated. It kinda turns me on...

to logos i would try adding little vectors like wings and all that shizzle
but yea it looks pretty basic (like you said)
one the bottom right try getting rid of the bit of thhe flare that goes over the edge
but it looks okay
