First try at a real sig, let me know what i can do to make it better

To me, it looks like you just put a render over a background with text.. lol

To for your first sig isnt that bad lol mine wasnt as good either xD but hey imm improving you could have blended your render more since it just seems ontop of all the c4ds and all tht. keep following tutorials and hey maybe i might teamview you and help you out

looks good for your first signature, hmm some tips: you just used a c4d as background effect now. in my experience c4d are just for extra effect, work more with custom brushes and then use c4d for extra effect.
working with brushes you can easely make the render look part of the background instead of flat on the background.

also try to make the collors match more, your render has red etc but you made the background yellowish, it just doesnt seem right.

and last make some more layers and set some effects on them to see what happends
