Text shouldn't be beveled/embossed.
I don't really see much smudging.
A bit too sharp.

Look up some tutorials.

1. Text has only drop shadow and a clipping mask.
2. The background is smudged.
3. I didn't sharpen anything on this tag.

1. Well it looks beveled. You should just take out text if you don't know how to put it in. (no offense.)
2. I thought you render smudged.
3. The whole render looks sharpened. Perhaps the renderer did it.
