(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Here's my SOTW entry for another forum. I worked on it a couple hours a day since monday. I've never had so many layers in any sig before (200). The alien robot thing is made totally from scratch. Hope ya like. Smile

Damn dude this is sick! I've seen a few of the others you've made with the tentacle type things, and I'm wondering how do you do that lol? But great job anyways.

Thx bro, i start out with drawing a line using the pen tool then add a bevel/emboss (intricately adjusted) to fit the flow of light. Then after i have pretty much all the artwork drawn, i'll go back and use about 1000000 layers on softlight, linear dodge, screen, and multiply behind and in front to make the light and shadows. I'll also burn and dodge the render to match the shadows and lighting as well as i can.

The little orbs and shapes i created in this one are basically started drawing either a circle with the marquee tool or drawing a shape with the pen tool. Now in reality it's not as simple as drawing a shape. You have to use perspective transform or distort transform to get the depth right.

Then i'll go in and add a gradient to the shapes then a white gradient on top to give it the glow effect. This one took around 220 layers to complete. That injector thing in front of his face was like 50 or 60 layers alone lol.

Shit man. Did you draw the guy or is that a stock? And 220 layers? Seems so complicated haha.

Nah the guy is a stock i found after searching for a couple frikin hours lol. It gets easier the more you do it but it can be pretty complicated when your trying to add as much detail as you can. If i really wanted to i could spend a month or 2 on this and make it look as real as a movie scene but almost a week is good enough for me. Happy

The Low Key OG
still the same OG, but I've been low key
For sure the best of your 3 light pole type sigs. I would like to suggest that you move on and only incorporate this in a minor sense. Keep up the good work, I like where your style is heading.
