I did this in school by simply resizing and using overlay

My latest signature, which I have been working on for a few days. I made a render, got a terminator head and put it under the render and added something to the render and used the brush. I then painted blood, changed her hair color and changed the color of her eyes.

Out of all of that work, I have only used c4d's in two of them

no blending, way to messy, no flow, text stands out way to much ( try using clipping mask for text :p), and You must login or register to view this content.

They are all pretty good!
But two problems:
1. Renders stick out too much or are the wrong size
2. C4D's opacitys are too high, fade them back

Um I did that quickly just to show that off :p Once I get some c4d's I'm gonna make my own background and use a few c4ds
