you make them very small i usually use 400x120 but whatever floats your boat :p

Your already improving I can see how you've tried some new stuff. Although i would advise using a bigger size, i use 375x175. Ok, so i can see you've tried using C4D's again, I would now suggest you use more than one C4D and change the blending options of them to things like overlay or whatever looks best, experiment, also play with the opacity of them. I can also see you've tried smudging, the smudging looks pretty good actually, it would blend well if it had something to blend into e.g. a C4D. You could also play around with some brushes, i tend to use splatter brushes because i love them :p If you need brushes take a look around here: You must login or register to view this content.
Just search through and find some nice brushes if you need them. Then obviously try blending you brushes, An important thing to avoid is placing a C4D or brush over the Render. Try blending your text a bit more by using clipping masks here's a tut on clipping masks If you dont know how to use them PM me and ill help you out . Finally I would try and keep your colours a little more alike, Dont mix loads of different colours try and keep within shades of one or two colours.
