(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so i'm looking around finding a lot of info about the dazzle and setting it up (before i buy it).. First of all, i play PS3 with an HDMI cable, otherwise the quality sucks on my TV. I know how to set dazzle up and everything, but im not sure if i would have to play in standard mode (without the HDMI) everytime i record gameplay. Can i play using HDMI for the input on my TV and just use the 2-way AV cables as the output? Or do i need to use PS3 AV cables as the input and 2-way AV cables as the output?

If you can answer those questions or if you record gameplay while playing with the HDMI just fill me in with some info. Thank you much.

the dazzle platinum doesnt have a HMDI port so you wouldnt be able to record like that. since i dont use HDMI im not sure because if it is one cord(i think HDMI Iis) then you would have2 have the regular cords in to record unless you can have both in at once(then you could play on hdmi but record standard).

I know theres no HDMI port on the dazzle.. but if i go to the back of my tv, i could have the HDMI cord from my ps3 to my TV, and go to where i could plug in the standard cords and just put it in the output ports. i just dont know if that would work.

basically conrad, would i be able to PLAY in HDMI and RECORD in STANDARD...
HDMI = input on TV from my PS3 ...... standard cords = output on tv to the dazzle..

try it out yourself and see if you can have both plugged in at the same time and working. if it works with your tv it should work with the dazzle.

well on my TV i have to pick the source of whatever im playing with.. Like if im using HMDI, i'll have to grba my remote and hit SOURCE and go through like 5 things untill i get to HDMI. If i were to play with component, same thing.

ok then it should work. another way to make your standard a little better is to get a s-video cord that comes with the standard av cables. so ya itll work =]
