(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Why hello my fellow chaps and chapettes of NGU.

It has been quite some time since I have been active on NGU.

For those I have not met yet, my name is -Illusionz. I have been an NGU member for approximately five years. Whilst I was never really one to post on forums I was still a very active member throughout the forums. It has been 2 years since I have been on NGU so I thought it was time to make a little comeback!

I thought I would share a Signature I made today as an excuse to re-introduce myself and meet some new people.

You must login or register to view this content.

It had also been a solid two years without touching/using photoshop so you will have to forgive my 'nooby' mistakes. Please feel free to comment any cnc you may have! (I have been out of the game for ages and can do with a few tips and tricks).

I tried to keep the overall design very simple. I was aiming for a nostalgic street art theme. There are a ton of batman signatures out there on forums which all look very similar (yet still good). Thus, I wanted something different but simple at the same time.

I implore anyone who is willing to share your favourite art piece to post it here and introduce yourself if we have not met.

Cheers,

-Illusionz.

I would be interested in seeing the process you went through to achieve the design.

Of course buddy! I might put together a quick video when i get time!

Essentially, I started with the background which was a simple image of a city (I did not add any detail to the background as it would of been pointless). I added a texture filter to the background to give the image a cartoon/drawing feel. I then added batman. With batman i first used a solid fill. I then duplicated the original copy of batman and dropped the opacity to about 20-25% so you could visually see batman. However i wanted him to 'embrace the darkness' hence the reason i created a solid black fill first.

I then sharpened the image, made it black and white and added the final filter (forget the name of it) but it created the brick-like effect. I also added lighting effects so that batman appears to be coming from the shadows.

Did you like the image? I had never done something like this design before, so I was learning as I went (which is often the best way to do things in my opinion).
