Firstly, on your android, proceed to the market, then search for the application "Superuser" and download it. (Its Free)
Now, on your PC download the z4Root application in the link above, and extract the .apk to your desktop and leave it here for now.
With "Usb debugging mode ON" connect your Android to your PC and navigate to the SD where the mail folders are.
Now if there is not already, create a folder called "apps", then copy and place the .apk package from your desktop into this folder.
Unplug your USB from your Android.
On your Android open up FileManager, go to the SD stick, then find the "apps" folder you created.
Open this folder and run/install the .apk inside.
Now on your Android find the new z4Root application.
Run z4Root, click Permanent Root, the phone should now go through the rooting process then automatically reboot.
Once rebooted, you are not rooted/jailbroken and have superuser access.
Proceed to the superuser application on your Android described in step ONE. Here you can allow superuser access to different programs and apps on your device.
An easier way would be Going on browser finding a download Link for z4root & downloading it from the android itself
(make sure unknown sources is ticked under "applications" in "settings")
Thats how I did it
