you dont go to AT&T and ask how can i use my iphone with another carrier. he's at the right place, to the person askin the question you gotta find an unlock for your phone depends on your baseband and type of phone. you can google it all

jailbreak iphone 4 + unlock w/ultrasn0w you can use t-mobile on your iphone 4 just like me! Happy

the basebands only compatible with 01.59.00 you can check what you have by going to settings>general>about your "modem firmware" should be 01.59.00. if it's anything other than that, then you can't unlock. :/
