(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Note: I am a noob at phone hacking. I'm currently running Android 2.2.1 and I heard that rooting does not work. I also heard that downgrading is possible. (Possible Tutorial?) Here's the thing, will that mess up my phone? I have unlimited 3G data plans and I don't want anything bad to happen.
I want to root my phone (LG Vortex), because I want to get rid of this crap bloatware. It seriously lags my phone when typing and it's so annoying. Please someone help me with this. Thanks.

Some phones can be downgraded, but it requires you have an official release of the version you are trying to downgrade to. That can sometimes be an issue to find. I checked XDA for your phone and they don't seem to support it. Really the only thing I can suggest is to try some of the one click root solutions. They should not hurt you phone if they don't work, but I make no promises. Good luck!

Can’t trickshot me!
the one click roots will not hurt your phone at all..if they dont work then they just dont work but wont mess with your phone in any way..never heard of any root for the lg vortex tho..my girlfriend has that phone and never had any luck rooting it..so i'm sry to say but you mite just have to deal with your phone the way it is..

I've never had any rooting issues with my Droid. In fact the rooted OS only made me like the phone better, currently running my Droid with Gingerbread. Android 2.3.x (can't remember the exact build).

The one click root apps won't damage your phone, only thing they do is void the warranty. Of course a warranty these days is pretty damn useless. Good luck man!
