Alright guys. Quite a few of us members here have Android phones, and love to change the screens.

Few things first.

  1. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU QUOTE IMAGES, IN THE QUOTE PUT SPOILER TAGS AROUND THE IMAGES! KEEP QUOTES SMALL!
  2. DO NOT QUOTE THIS POST! IT'S FAR TOO ****ING LARGE TO QUOTE.
  3. WHEN YOU POST YOUR HOMESCREEN PLEASE TRY TO EXPLAIN YOUR SET UP (WIDGETS, BACKGROUND, THEMES, ETC) AS I HAVE DONE TO TRY TO CUT DOWN ON IMAGE QUOTING.
If your rooted or not you can do this.
Keep in mind, that some screens you may see (lock screen included) may be of rooted phones, and may not be possible on stock non-rooted phones).

Rooted Users Screen Shot Directions:

  1. Go into the Android Market

  2. Search for Shootme

    • Select either one
    • You must login or register to view this content.

  3. Install Shootme

  4. Open App
  5. Follow directions

    1. Accept
    2. Hide
    3. Go to desired screen

      • Lock
      • Homescreen

        • Shoot me works on both

    4. Shake

The images are stored in this location on your phone:

  • Memory Card Index (Root of your Memory Card)
  • Shootme Folder

    • Images are in side.

Non-Rooted Users Screen Shot Directions:

COMING SOON! Too many different tutorials, none without paid apps. You can try Shootme, there are claims that it works without rooting but not on all phones.

My Phone Information:

  • Epic 4G from Sprint

    • Rooted

      • Clockwork Mod 3.1.0.1 (Purple CWM)

  • Android 2.2.1

    • EC05 Modem

  • ACS SyndicateFROZEN Rom 1.2 (Fully Loaded)

    • Awesome faceeveloped by the Android Creative Syndicate team.

      • Search qbking77 on Youtube

        • He has a shit ton of ACS tutorials that are made for the Epic 4G from Sprint, and some are universal and can work for any phone on any carrier.

    • Highly recommend their roms if your using the Samsung Epic or Nexus S 4G

      • develop for any other phones.

    • ACS Gingerbread Icon Mod

    • ACS EF02 for EC05 Theme

  • Genocide 2.0 Kernal
  • Android Market 3.0
  • Swype Beta 3.0

I can post links to the threads for all of this (Roms, Kernals, Market [I'll most likely make a tutorial thread for this here], Swype Beta [I'll most likely make a tutorial thread here for this], themes, etc) from XDA Developers where ACS operates.

My Wallpeper from a background application from the Market.

Now without futher ado...

Lockscreen (Love the puzzle lock, MIUI Lock hopefully coming soon in SyndicateFROZEN Rom 1.3) :

Nice simplistic layouts guys. I think you have to root your phone to get this look my friend. Something I have not done and do not think I will in fear of bricking my phone haha.

im running miui, a superfast rom made originally for china, translated and ported to the mesmerize (along with other phones). to give you an idea of how fast, my phone boots in ~15 seconds, and scores around 2200 using quadrant. all that aside, i love the continuity between screens that i get with a wide wallpaper. the small blue bar at the bottom appears to slide from screen to screen, without installing anything extra.

wallpaper is custom made, text on the homescreen is minimalistic text widget. icons, lockscreen, and phone screens are all downloadable off miui's built in theme manager.
