(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I want to buy the iPhone 4 (Unlocked) from Apple, so if I buy it, can I activate it without contract? because I don't want it with a 2years contract/plan... Not Happy or Sad

Thanks

Yes, It will work but if it doesn't work jailbreak it and get ultra snow that will unlock 100% you then can use any chip Chinese, European, and Latin american.

For example you buy it from apple unlock and less say you prefer T-mobile instead of at&t and you already have a T-mobile plan so no need of buying extra plan from at&t.

I didnt know an unlocked iphone would need activation, since you already buy it unlocked

It certainly cannot be activated with any company, the company needs to be GSM provider, there still is CDMA providers out there so you want to make sure what your provider uses.

GSM= Phone that used sim cards
CDMA= Phones that don't use sim cards.

Technically it wouldn't need activation if you already have a account with another network, you can simply enter a sim card and go, but if your just starting a plan you need the phones IMEI to begin the process.

Carriers use different frequencies for 3G. For example if you take a iPhone that is designed for ATT you will only have Edge data on T-Mobile because the 3G frequency is different. I suggest you do some research into the phone and carrier to make sure they run on the same frequencies. If not you are in for one slow internet connection.
