Technically you can unlock/hack a CDMA iPhone to work on metroPCS; however, it is often a complicated process and it has been reported that data services either do not work or are barely useable. The iPhone is not listed on their site as being able to be flashed to their network, but you can always go into a store and see what they can do. Considering all the features of the iPhone that may not be able to be used, is it really worth attempting to bring the device to metroPCS?

The eHow link posted in this thread is completely wrong because it states you can bring a GSM iPhone onto a CDMA network. These technologies are not compatible; therefore, this is impossible to do.

you are going to need to unlock your iphone. its different then jailbreaking.
