What it is?
At the core it is a bejeweled-like game. You match certain combos in order to do certain actions. An example would be sword being your plain attack, wand magic attack, stone gives you stone, etc... The point of these matches is to progress through the dungeon shown at the top. You can upgrade just about everything, including some interesting score changers. The goal of the game is to reach the goal of a top score of 10,000,000.
My impressions
I have currently beaten the game so I will give my impressions. The game is fun and a bit addicting. It has a good, just one more run aspect. There isn't too much to say about the gameplay. If you enjoy/are satisfied with matching games you will likely enjoy it. Overall, I like the game as a time killer that is fairly fun for a simple Mobile game.
Pros
- Many upgrades that come pretty naturally through just playing the game and make it rewarding to have to redo dungeons. (You pay for upgrades with resources you get from running through the dungeon).
- The game keeps you playing for more.
- Jumping right into the start is fun as you attempt to rush to find matches.
Cons
- There is nothing to chains. Why do I say this? Because while you want to search for proper actions the majority of the time, often it's the combo chains that do the real damage(which you can't really predict).
- The graphics style doesn't really add much.
- At many points you literally cannot get through them til you grind up to upgrades, which gets old.
- There isn't much point to playing it after you've beaten it. The only objective is to increase you're best highscore, which is already pretty luck based.
Cost
It costs approximately $1.99 via iTunes, and $4.99 via Steam.
Overall
It's not something that's definitely worth picking up, but if you are with little to do or can spare a few bucks I would say to get it for iOS. As for PC, I don't see too much value as it's controls are identical (meaning you constantly need to use the mouse and drag) and there are just better games for the cost.
