After spending a good 30 mins reading all these menus, and how you need to be 'infected' (God knows what that means)

Can someone recommend me a menu mod.. I only want it for Single Player and Spec Ops, I can delete patches if need be.. Do I need to be infected if its offline? o.o, I have no clue.

Right now the one thats caught my eye is MadGamerz V4.. Would that work?
