if u were shot a bunch of times u are technically dead, so u are no longer registered as a player and instead ur kinda like a ghost. Which means you can not pick up guns, the ammo dropped from players, etc... so just try not to get shot to many times otherwise the ammo drops and gun pickups will stop working
