If a new PS3 update comes out then you will have to spoof or update to a CFW of that version(i.e.-OFW 5.00 comes out then you'd need CFW 5.00)
If MW3 gets updated then you'd have to update to the newer version and find an eboot that works with it and reapply it.

What I believe to be what you mean,
If you are curious as to what happens when there is an update to MW3, there won't be. If you mean what happens when there is a new update out, there are many a ways to bypass them and stay on CFW. Just come online here and there would have been a new CFW released to support the new update.
