Depending the tool or menu you are using it can vary, depending if they have bugs. There is no certainty that you will never freeze, it's normal. The game wasn't meant to be modded, so it won't be perfect. It's like that for every game.

Like Christian said, that's normal. Try to use something different and see if that works better.
