Banned, What has Probably Happened is You Have been in a Modded Lobby + The Host Has Deranked You and Gave You Negative XP, What is Disabling You Too Select a GameMode.
Possible Solution:
1.) Asking a Modder/Me too Invite You too a Private Match + Editing the Game to Ranked Match In which You Can Level Up + Re-Gain Your XP

Your conjecture was right because i got in a modded lobby and got deranked, too..
btw meanwhile i'm able to select a gamemode and playing online cuz i got invited to a private match by a modder..
