You must login or register to view this content. is not compatible with You must login or register to view this content.

The motherboard is for Intel 1155 socket processors (i.e. the Intel Core i5 2500K), whereas the CPU itself is an AMD AM3 socket compatible processor.

You must login or register to view this content. you will find all the motherboards that will work with your processor. There are also motherboards that are fit for AM3 processors as well as the new ones that are supposed be released soon.

The PSU is a little bit overkill for your setup, you shouldn't really need for 500 watts, and I'd go with 600 watts just to be safe. Even then, that's pushing it. Otherwise, it's a solid build, and should definitely perform well. :y:

Yeah, if I was you, I wouldn't go for that processor, I'd go for a higher range Athlon, maybe a 645 or even go for a Phenom II x4.

Axiom is right, a Athlon II X4 is kind of... meh.

Try this You must login or register to view this content. instead. It's not too much more expensive, and it's definitely worth the performance boost. Along with that, get this You must login or register to view this content. instead. It's at a good price, and you'll be ready for the new AMD CPUs when they come out.

Also, the awesome thing about a Phenom II X4 955 BE is that, when overclocked (which, with BE processors is REALLY easy), it can perform on-par with a Phenom II X4 975 BE.
