Post: MW2 Freezing at Startup

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); As the title says, I'm playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on my PC (purchased on Steam), and it freezes when I start it up.

This isn't a "get a better PC" problem - it runs the game on "Extra'-everything.

The game begins to run after about 6 to 10 minutes of waiting for it to un-freeze, then everything's fine.

I had it work before - I just recently re-installed Windows 7 Home Premium - yes, a legit copy. Also, when it did work, I do not believe I had all 6 cores of my processor activated.

Here are my specs:
Processor: AMD Phenom II x6 1075T Processor 3.00 GHz (all 6 cores are activated)
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4600
Sound: VIA HD Audio & HD Audio Device (HDMI sound device)
4 GB RAM
A keyboard, a portable hard drive, a USB mic, a wireless mouse, and a wireless keyboard are connected (although all of these were there before back when it DID work, so I don't think that's the problem.)

Thanks for the help, if you have time.
I'm not sure what wattage my PSU is.
