i was a massive fan of LOTR Battle for middle earth II and am looking for a game similar to it in play style..

i've had a look at starcraft 2 and have a couple of questions:
Do people still play it?
Is it worth buying?
why is it out of stock in every god damn shop i go to? xD

Other then that i've played a few such as WC3 Etc...

so any other suggestions besides SCII?

Command and conquer.. The best RTS of all time.
