(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've been experiencing some kind of weird lag/drop in frames when I'm flying Jets/Helis in Bf3 3rd person. It only occurs when flying in 3rd person, so I don't think the hardware is the problem..? Everything is running on stock clocks. What may the problem be? =/

Specs-

CPU - IntelĀ® Core i5-2500K Processor
GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB PhysX CUDA
RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL8

BTW, it seem to dissapear when I lower it to high settings, may my tech be too weak to run on Ultra?

Definitely not. My 580 does not preform as fast as a 670 does under no circumstance. I don't have any issues of that kind, so I have to say that there could be something up with the game itself.

What kind of a drop are we talking about? Like from 120-40 or 120-110? Is it substantial and noticeable Or do you only notice it while you have FPS being displayed? I'm going to hop into a match and do some investigating for you.

Also, is vsync on or off? If it's off, try turning it ON. If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would suggest going to your NVIDIA control panel and making sure you do two things:

1) Update GPU drivers.

2) Try using adaptive vsync. This will essentially disable the limiting of FPS until it hits your maximum screen refresh rate, then it will turn it on right away so you don't notice screen tearing or seemingly lower FPS (even though it's not really a drop in FPS, it looks like it is) You must login or register to view this content.

When I type "render.drawfps 1" in the console, it shows pretty much 60fps all the way. But when flying in 3rd person or crash the jet, it drops down to around 53-56fps. Its not "lagging-spiking", it's like there a small delay causing the sky to "chop" a little.

vSync is ON and adaptive vsync is set to adaptive. My drivers are also up to date.

Very weird. Try turning VSync off in game and leaving the adaptive vsync to adaptive. I really am not aware of these issues occurring with me, so I would bring it up on the BF3 forums themselves and perhaps make sure that it's addressed in a patch in the future.

I doubt that it is a hardware problem though.
