(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); As the title says. My friend bought GTA IV on Steam, which I already own, and to save him the 13.9GB download, is it possible for me to give him a copy of my local files? If it is, what steps will i need to undertake to ensure this is successful?

I bought Black Ops 2 on steam and my brother already had it all downloaded so what we did is he backed up his black ops 2 to a folder then I put that folder on my flash drive and copied it to my computer. I started steam and restored black ops 2 from his back up so yes you can give him your GTA 4 but he can only restore the game if it is on his steam game list. If he bought it the game will show up on his steam game list and he can use your game back up to restore GTA 4 and put it on his PC. In other words he wont have to download it you just have to give him a flash drive or external hard drive with the back uped game on it. BTW I used a 16GB flash drive because the back ups are usually over 8GB so you will need probably at least 8-16GB.
