You'd probably be better phoning up Alienware, since you're not looking at any other brands.

Yeah... the first one costs 1.8grand... I wouldn't get any of them to be honest, pure waste of money, I would just buy a computer, upgrade it, for 1.8 you could get a beasty computer

Firstly, do you want laptop or PC, because you can get a way better PC for the price of those laptops.

I bought an Asus G51Jx-A1 for $1500 a month or two ago:
1920x1080 screen
GeForce GTS 360m GPU
Core i7 720qm processor (4 cores, 8 threads)
8GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD
4 USB ports
eSata port
Firewire port
HDMI output
Built-in webcam

Let me know if you have any questions about it.

sager notebooks are good, i just purchased one for about 1,100 alienware is a waste of money they're over priced and all the stuff i got in my sager would come out to about 2,000 on a alienware no lies there, i got a I7 intel processor with4 gigs of ram etc. try sager they're not a huge company but they have been around for a while. Plus life time tech support + 30 day money back. sagernotebook.com

I compared a similar Sager laptop to my Asus laptop before purchasing it and my Asus was cheaper, but they do look like decent laptops. And yes, Alienware laptops are overpriced, but that's one of the few places you'll find dual-GPU laptops (though Asus has one) and other high-performance options.

I wouldn't go with an Alienware. You're paying for the brand name, much like Mac and Sony.
