(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im getting a gaming PC for the first time and i was wondering if anyone would recommend this setup, and if not whats a better alternative ?

MSI x-58 motherboard
I-7 930 over clocked to 4.0
Liquid Cool 4
6GB DDR-1333
GTX 480 (Would get the 5970, but increases the shipping time by 2w)
1.5 Seagate 7200rpm 32mb cache Sata 3.0 gbs
550W (lemme know if it will be enough )

right now it cost 2,333, I think i could get something similar but slighty similar from alienware but everyone seems to complain about them.

Also im wondering will the be able to play most games smoothly on their highest settings?

thx for any feed back

You'll definitely be able to play all current games on the highest settings with that setup. However, I would make sure not to skimp out on the powers supply--it's the most important part. I recommend Corsair PSUs. Look on Newegg; they have 750W models with single 60A +12V rails.

Haxor!
That computer has a very nice processor and should be quite fine playing games.
