i am going to order GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

and i need ram for it

NO! Thats ECC unbuffered server memory, MUCH slower, and I dont think it will work anyway.

This is MUCH! better, and its RAM certifified for your chipset. It comes with 3 - 4GB Sticks of ram, which gives you a total of 12, and giving the headroom to later upgrade to 24.

Don't forget, if u go above 4GB RAM u need a 64-Bit Windows.

32-Bit is only max to 4GB RAM.

Not only that, but that 4GB is including video memory.

So that means if you have 4GB of Ram installed, and you have a 1GB video card, you are really only capable of using 3GB, as video memory (for some reason) is first priority on motherboards.
