(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, I'm building a new PC and I need some help. I have a budget to about 1200$. The parts I'm thinking of putting in are:

-EVGA P55 FTW 200 Motherboard

CPU

Intel Core i5 750

RAM

Corsair XMS3 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM

Video Card

XFX HD585XZAFC Radeon HD 5850

Sound Card

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer

Hard Drive

Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB

DVD Burner

Asus DRW-24B1ST DVD Burner

Case

Cooler Master HAF 922M ATX Mid Tower Case

PS: Already got a power supply. So.. are there any changes I should make to this build?

Those are horrible parts for your money. I just got finished with my $1200 build.

Get the intel i7 950 (Buy An Aftermarket CPU Fan)
Don't get a sound card unless you need one(you wont)
Get the EVGA GTX460 Graphics Card
Don't get a case over $100
Get 6GB of RAM
A 1TB HDD
A cheap Disk Drive
As for the motherboard, it doesn't really matter.

Well, I didn't mean to put the sound card. I was thinking about it, but I changed my mind. And also, this build comes out to like.. 860$ dollars on Newegg.. PS: i DO need a power supply. I went to go get it checked out at a PC Repair place, and I didn't get my computer back in time, so they gave it away.

Oh ok then. Power supply doesn't really matter. Just anything over 700 Watts. Also, make sure you get an i7 Motherboard if your going to get the i7 950, or anything else i7. Its also known as a 1366 socket.

I would read some of the reviews first. But i think you should go with the motherboard i got. I know from experience that it works with everything i got just fine. You must login or register to view this content.

But its your choice, just remember to read the reviews.
