Recommended AMD to him because it's cheaper and he won't edit videos.

AMD Oc'd is faster than most i7's (The X6 anyway) And if its for gaming he can lock two cores and overclock it as a 4 core due to the X6's superior OCing ability, ive revamped my rig since these specs, ordering it all tomorrow. Cant wait!

I know, i never realised at the time i was looking at the old SB CPU's the i5 2500k is the best bang for buck, go for that!
