(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So i've just ordered my new PC and i want to get some opinions from you guys on it because i'm new to this whole pc building scene

Any here are the specs.

CASE : In WIN Maelstrom T900
CPU : AMD Phenom II x4 965
MOBO : ASUS M5A99X EVO
RAM : 8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS 1600mhz
GPU : GTX 560 ti
HDD : 1TB WD Caviar Green
PSU : CORSAIR 650W ENTHUSIAST SERIES TX650 V2-80 PLUS
DISC DRIVE : A crappy LG one LOL

I plan on getting an SSD later when i have some more money and maybe another GTX 560 ti but for now this will do just fine.

I'll be wanting to play all of the new FPS games like MW3 and BF3 on it but i will mostly be playing COD4 and Minecraft Smile

I don't see anything bad about it; It's just your average gaming rig. Assuming you weren't on a budget, then the i5 2500k would have made a better cpu choice and you should have probably went for the caviar black because it is suited for gaming and the caviar green is for saving energy but i guess it's okay for now. I would wait a bit to buy another hard drive because western digital and seagate prices went through the roof all because of a flooding in Thailand. I would also suggest getting an ssd big enough just for your O.S because prices are high so either faster o.s booting or you could invest in a better video card. 560 is a pretty decent graphic card so sli would be good too :y:

I'm only getting a 64gb SSD just for the OS as you said :p and as for the budget yeah i have a 700£ budget and all this comes to about 710. I'm going to keep the 560ti and probably SLi it because it's the best bang for the buck GPU out there atm and it's good enough to run all the latest FPS games on max settings at 1080p with a more than playable fps Smile and in SLI its just as good and in some cases better than a gtx 580 :dumb: =D

True you only need a better video card when using a huge monitor for gaming which really isn't necessary 0.o unless you want a kick ass gaming station lol and I read an article about the performance of the gtx 580+ video cards and it seems they have micro stuttering problems in sli but it's still less stuttering than the radeons in cf. Well happy gaming!

Little confused as to why you have a Caviar Green as your main drive. Thats the worst thing you could have as a main

Nah, i'm just going for a 22" monitor may get dual monitors in future but ill still just be gaming on one of them and tbh i can never see myself buying 3 monitors so a 560 ti will do me fine for at least a year maybe more Smile

You won't need more than 600W with that card, so I would change it unless you plan on upgrading to a better card in the near future.
