(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Once coming to PC's I am a complete beginner. So I was wondering if this set-up is any good. I am looking for a mid-high end gaming PC. I have had an idea but i don't know if it is any good.

Here is my idea: You must login or register to view this content.

I was thinking should I change the motherboard and the Optical Drive. If so what motherboard should I change too?

EDIT: Also too do i need a sound card?

You don't need a soundcard, the motherboard has built-in sound.

As for the 1600 MHz RAM, I have RAM in different PC's at 1333 and 1600, and it really doesn't make a difference IMO.
You might want to look at the optical drive though.

i would change to a z77 motherboard and a i5 3570k if its for gaming and a 660ti and some 1600 speed ram is a great upgrade and would make it a great gaming rig.

This CPU is better for gaming, as you won't need hyperthreading. The GPU is also better and more power efficient. The total build is like 760 pounds.
