if you mean paying someone else to build your custom PC or buy the parts yourself and build the custom PC I would always pay for someone to build it for me as they have the expertise and know how to properly install the parts and stuff, I would just be really mad If I bought a CPU for my custom build and broke a pin so it didn't work, wouldn't you?
you have to be a major dumbass if you broke the pin and the motherboard has directions on how to put it on, the only way to break it is if you finger fuck it , buy the wrong motherboard
Building is way harder, if you don't know how to put a pc together than buy a pre-made one i made the mistake before and ended up taking it back but now i know how to.
I bought mine just to save the troubles. I paid like $1200, but it is amazing . i7 processor. 2 tb . 16 gb into desktop. 12 gb ram . and nvidia card .. I mean it came out worth it.
