(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm looking to buy the cheapest possible build. But not sure where to go with this one...

I'm actually wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a premade box at this point.

It needs cpu, mobo, HHD, power and a case. Oh almost forgot a small amount of RAM.

My goal for this build is about $100 but I'll go as high as $150.

No need for graphics card (assuming CPU has integrated) or an OS (will be putting linux on). Nor does it need a optical drive because I will be loading via USB.

Best I could figure getting it for was $250.... Hoping someone can find better for cheaper

*thinks of first computer*
Edit: seeing as I'm looking for pretty much the lowest end- Might be worth mentioning that it should have USB2.0 and SATA compatibilities

wtf are u doing? that is impossible since the price gouging of harddrives. literally the cheapest i could get without a harddrive is 170$ a motherboard is 50 a cpu a shit one but still a newer one is 40 a case is 25 ram is 20 a decent power supply is 50
and a hardrive is at least 50 more. and for the price the most you could do on it is surf the web and watch hd video. well i hope so with the apu graphics

Its really a long story as to why I am making it. Basically I need a separate box that isn't doing a whole lot more than dealing with hard drives....Might come up in a future post- Not sure... Also it will have a double feature of being able to be plugged into my mobo when I get around to buying my proper computer. The motherboard that I'm getting is by RoG and has a debug USB port to give even more ability to fine tune it.

After doing a bit more work I managed to get a build down to $156ish with a hard drive of amazing size for price (320gb)

Anybody able to trim some prices off of this?
