(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have £700 out of the ~£1000 I'll need for this build.
Just like to know if there's anything worth changing to decrease price or make it more efficient.
I was originally going to go for an i7-4790K, Hero VII MOBO, 16GB of Ram and a h100i cooler but I figured I could just upgrade in the future or maybe I'll change this build if my budget increases :p
The Keyboard/Mouse bundle is kinda temporary because I can't afford to spend more atm, also I'm going to use my 32" tv until I can afford a monitor. You must login or register to view this content. / You must login or register to view this content.

Seems like a good build! You'll be glad you didn't get the i7 as you can easily overclock the i5, even though stock i5 is more than capable of doing what you need it to. Smile

Drop down to a r9 290x graphics card. They are better then the 970 and come with free games that are good. Get a cheaper case. You don't need a r5 they are pretty overrated. also get a better keyboard and mouse. That combo is pretty crap. Get a corsair k30 and whatever mouse u want. It will be better overall

Good build. I, personally, would make a few changes.

- Motherboard:
You chose a micro-ATX motherboard. While there is nothing wrong with micro-ATX, you paired the motherboard with an ATX mid-tower. You have a small motherboard in a big case. I'd recommend this standard ATX motherboard:

- RAM:
Nothing wrong with the RAM, but since the motherboard I recommended above uses a difference color scheme (black & white), I'll suggest a different RAM kit that will fit the color scheme of the build:

- HDSad Awesome
There are a lot of people that say that the 1TB WD Blue tends to be more reliable than the 1TB Seagate Barracuda. It's completely up to you on whether or not you believe this, but I personally prefer the WD Blue over the Seagate Barracuda.

- GPU:
If you change your motherboard to the black & white motherboard I recommended, the Gigabyte WINDFORCE 3X GTX 970 will fit the theme better than the MSI Twin Frozr V GTX 970. The WINDFORCE 3X 970 also performs better than the Twin Frozr V 970.

- Keyboard/Mouse:
Do not purchase this keyboard/mouse combo. Invest in a mechanical keyboard. I recommend ones that use the Cherry MX Brown or the Cherry MX Red switches. As for mouse, I'd recommend something like the Logitech G402.

I already noticed and changed this earlier :p

- RAM:
I wont change this as I'm sticking with the black/red colour scheme.

- HDD :
I'll follow your advice and change to this Smile

- GPU:
I love the looks of the MSI 970 and it fits my scheme well, also my heart has been set on this card since I started planning this build so I'll stick with it.

- Keyboard/Mouse:
My plan was to keep this combo temporarily and upgrade in a while, but I'll see if I get any extra money to get something better to begin with.

Thanks for the advice Smile

I'm sure the R9 290x is a great card but my personal experiences with an AMD-based laptop put me off, so I'm sticking with my gut and going for the 970.

Read what I said above about the keyboard and mouse :p

Thanks Happy
